Secura’s SAG series of gas and LPG cabinets are based on our of fire-rated filing cabinets. The cabinets are tested and certified by SP according to the test method NT Fire 017 and withstand 30 and 60 minutes. For this reason, they comply with the requirements EI30 and EI60 for separation and are thus, suitable for use anywhere you want to protect flammable gases in the case of fire.
According to MSB’s regulation, SÄIFS 1998:7, EI30 requires separation for all storage of flammable gases on public premises. Examples of public premises include schools, hospitals and health centres, restaurants and so on. The purpose of the SAG series is to reduce injuries in the event of a fire by separating the flammable gas from the actual fire. This allows time to evacuate the premises and carry out fire-fighting measures before these ignite and dramatically worsen the course of the fire. In other words, both protects the people on the property and also reduces the damage to the property caused by the fire.
The cabinet has a 100% welded design with two layers of 1 mm steel plate with approx. 50 mm solid, cast, fire insulation in-between. The insulation does not give off any environmentally hazardous substances and has a very long service life. It also makes the design stable and durable. The entire cabinet is powder coated both externally and internally with a strong, durable epoxy paint. As standard, we use RAL 9002, but we can supply the cabinet in many different colours. There is an expansion strip between the frame and the doors whose function is to seal the space between the doors and the frame as the temperature increases. The cabinet is locked with a key lock as standard, and, if wanted, we can deliver the cabinets with handles where you can fit your own lock cylinders for existing lock systems, card reader systems, electronic code lock etc.
Secura’s Gas and LPG Cabinets are provided with ventilation connectors for direct ventilation, exiting through the outer wall, without mechanical ventilation. 2 pipe connectors with a diameter of 100 mm are located on the rear of the cabinet, one at the top right and one at the bottom left. We can fit various types of gas damper at the factory and we can also open fireproof holes, e.g. for gas supply or similar, by using pipe chokes.
